Irish Literature Companion:

Captain Brassbound's Conversion: An Adventure

Captain Brassbound's Conversion: An Adventure (1900), one of the Three Plays for Puritans by George Bernard Shaw. Lady Cicely Wayneflete and her brother-in-law, the judge Sir Henry Hallam, are escorted on an expedition into the wilds of Morocco by Brassbound, bent on revenge for a wrongdoing in the past. Lady Cicely disarms the surly Brassbound, and mocks his vindictiveness, giving him a renewed sense of purpose.
