  • c. phosphate synthetases — enzymes catalyzing the synthesis of carbamoyl phosphate. Carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase I is the starting enzyme of the urea cycle. Carbamoyl-phosphate synthetase II is the starting enzyme of pyrimidine synthesis.
