Carlos Paredes, ComSE, (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈkaɾluʃ pɐˈɾedɨʃ]; 16 February 1925–23 July 2004) was a virtuoso Portuguese guitar player, born in Coimbra, son of the equally famous Artur Paredes.[citation needed]
