Carpenter Avenue Elementary School is a public K-5 elementary school in Los Angeles, California.
Carpenter Avenue is a part of the Los Angeles Unified School District. The school is in Studio City and currently has about 900 students enrolled. The school was opened in 1924 under the same name and in the same location. It was originally a high school.
Although it never had a highly gifted magnet program, it did until recently have a program for highly gifted students. The current principal is Joe Martinez and the assistant principal is Sandy Hartshorn. Recently, the school has had a newer, larger library built complete with an Internet connection.
