Released in ten chapters beginning on April 14, 1926, this average Pathé serial starred pugilist turned actor George O'Hara as Ensign John Casey, a clever coast guard officer battling a gang of smugglers. Helen Ferguson, later a well-known Hollywood publicist, played O'Hara's socialite girlfriend and Coit Albertson, Jean Jarvis (as a phony countess), and Robert Craig headed the smuggling ring. The serial was produced by Schuyler E. Grey and directed by William Nigh, the latter one of the most reliable on Poverty Row. A former actor and a veteran of Keystone comedies, Nigh continued to direct inexpensive but efficient potboilers through the late '40s. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, All Movie Guide
