Poker Guide:

Cash Game

A type of poker game played for money where the value of the chips directly corresponds to their cash value. Players are allowed to freely enter and exit these games. There is a usually a minimum buy in needed to sit at a cash game table, but at any time a player may leave with their chip stack and cash out.

SoundPoker Says: Most poker games at a casino, cardroom or home game are cash games. Usually, the only time poker games are not cash games is when they are specifically listed as a "tournament".
