He Said is one name under which Graham Lewis (Wire, Wir, Dome) operates as a solo entity. Here he is collaborating with one of the first Swedish electronica projects, Omala. The music is atmospheric in an atmosphere marked with threatening weather conditions. Occasionally, the weatherman comes on with over-the-horizon predictions that are open to more than one level of interpretation. Six tracks of underlying sadness and strangeness coming to the surface. On the promo version of CD, Wire Mail Order, the licenser, added five cuts of H.A.L.O. from Immanent onto the end. This of an entirely different feel. Immanent is Lewis' fourth solo release, but first as H.A.L.O. and it came out first in 1995 on the Swedish label MNW Zone. Much more open, discernible and upbeat this is techno for dancing or listening. (I enjoyed it and its stereo play with headphones.) So, there is a bit of discontinuity here, but it is an excellent picture of the breadth available in the solo work of Graham Lewis made available domestically through arrangement with World Domination. ~ Tom Schulte, All Music Guide
