Tax season must be CCH's favorite time of year. A subsidiary of Dutch publisher Wolters Kluwer, CCH publishes more than 700 publications in print and electronic form, primarily concerning the subjects of tax and business law. Publications are available in a variety of formats, including looseleaf reports, CD-ROMs, books, newsletters, audio cassettes, and online. The company's flagship product is "The Standard Federal Tax Reporter". Its Tax and Accounting unit produces software used for tax preparation, audits, and office productivity. The company was founded in 1913, the same year the US federal income tax was created.
