Name borne by many figures in early Irish history and legend. One was a nephew or son of Cormac mac Airt, who raped a Déisi princess and was slain by Angus (4) in revenge. A second was the progenitor of the Kelly or O'Kelly family, Irish Uí Chellaig, Ó Ceallaigh, etc.
