Central Colorado is a region of the U.S. state of Colorado. It can be roughly defined by Clear Creek County in the northwest, Weld County in the east, Fremont County in the south, and El Paso County in the southeast. Central Colorado is home to most of the population of the state and its geography is dominated by the Rocky Mountains, their foothills, the rivers that run through them, and the open prairies that lie downstream.
