Biography

The London group Central Line were among the better English soul ensembles of the early '80s. Vocalist/percussionist Linton Breckles, bassist/vocalist Camelle Hinds, keyboardist Lipson Francis, and guitarist Henry Defoe had a number of moderately successful releases on Mercury, with their biggest American hit, "Walking Into Sunshine," in 1981.
