One qualified to appraise any property, under the Appraiser certification law recently adopted by the Appraisal Foundation. Requires at least 3,000 hours of general appraiser experience, plus a 4-year college degree or 30 semester hours of specified college course work, 300 hours of education, and passing of a state examination.
Example: Jim Weaver met the requirements to be a state certified general appraiser and can appraise any property, including those with the involvement of federal government agencies such as the FDIC.
