Turquoise is a complex mineral which contains substantial amounts of copper. Often, it is found adjacent to large, commercially useful deposits of copper. When a Czech geologist hears of a fabulous mountain in Mongolia, known as Turquoise Mountain, he is inspired to go in search of it, to see if it can be mined for copper. Based on a true story, this adventure is told from the point of view of the Czech's colleague, who goes on the expedition with him to find the legendary Mongolian mountain. ~ Clarke Fountain, All Movie Guide
