Charles Henry Vail

Charles Henry Vail (1866 - 19??) was an American Universalist clergyman and writer on socialism.

He was born at Tully, New York, graduated from the theological school of St. Lawrence University (1893), and became pastor at Jersey City, Albany, Richfield, and (from 1906) Albion.

As was true of other men at that time, the subject of Socialism drew his attention. Clergyman Vail indorsed its principles and wrote:

  • Scientific Socialism (1899)
  • The Industrial Evolution (1899)
  • Mission of the Working Class (1900)
  • The Socialist Movement (1901)
  • The Trust Question (1901)
  • Socialism and the Negro Problem (1903)
  • Ancient Mysteries and Modern Masonry (1909)
  • The World's Saviors (1913)
  • Militant and Triumphant Socialism (1913)
