(1816–c.1879)

French illustrator and photographer. His inclusion here is because he collaborated with several architects (e.g. Abadie) to record the various stages during the erection of major buildings in Paris. His most important work was the book of over 400 photographs of the streets of Paris that were destroyed by Haussmann's replanning of the city.
