Biography

Known for their aggressive, melodic style of alternative rock, Boston's Cheerleadr consists of vocalist/guitarist Will Claflin, guitarist Graeme Hall, bassist Johnny Fortin, and drummer Phil Mathews. The group formed in 1995 and released their 1997 debut album, Cream of Cheerleadr, to the acclaim of the Boston Phoenix, Globe, and Herald, as well as the area's college newspapers. Their third effort, Rock Album, earned heavy college radio airplay, particularly in the Northeast, and was also one of the most-added albums on CMJ's Add Chart in its first week of release. ~ Heather Phares, All Music Guide
