Chew Choon Seng (Chinese: 周俊成; pinyin: Zhōu Jùnchéng) is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Singapore Airlines (SIA).
Background
Chew joined SIA in 1972. He held senior assignments in Tokyo, Rome, Sydney, Los Angeles and London, and headed the Planning and Marketing divisions at the airline's corporate headquarters. Before becoming CEO in June 2003, he was Senior Executive Vice-President for Administration, covering finance, treasury, corporate planning, human resources, legal and corporate affairs.
He served as the Chairman of the Singapore Aircraft Leasing Enterprise. He is also a director of SIA subsidiaries Singapore Airport Terminal Services Limited, SIA Engineering Company, and Virgin Atlantic Airways, in which SIA holds a 49 per cent equity stake.
Education
After completing his first degree in mechanical engineering from the then University of Singapore, Chew graduated with a Master's degree in operations research and management studies from the Imperial College, University of London.
