Plot

Based on the teachings of Lao Tzu, t,ai chi is a martial arts practice which exercises the body, mind, and spirit. Using slow, flowing movements, breathwork, and visualization, tai chi increases the circulation of chi, or life force, in the body. Chi for Beginners: P.M. is a great introduction to tai chi practice. Led by master instructor Carol McPhee, this workout relaxes the body, stretches the muscles, and rejuvenates the mind. McPhee's tranquil visual cuing and the newage music blend well with the Hawaiian backdrop. All the movements are done with knees bent, the spine in a neutral position, and with no bending from the waist; this workout is ideal for people with chronic back pain and seniors. ~ Heather M.
