Chicken Express is a small, regional chain of fast food drive-through restaurants concentrated in the Southern United States. The restaurant chain was established in 1988 in Benbrook, Texas, as part of the Stuart Group, Inc., formed by Richard and Nancy Stuart [1]. There are more than one hundred restaurants located throughout four states: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Georgia The locations of these resturants are primarily in small towns.[2].
Food
Chicken Express offers Fried Chicken, boneless Fried Chicken "Express Tenders" and spicy Hot Wings. Though primarily a fried chicken restaurant, Chicken Express is also known for its popular sweet tea, which can be purchased by the gallon. Some locations also offer catfish, hushpuppies and/or rolls.
Some Chicken Express locations offer Dublin Dr. Pepper directly from the fountain. Fried livers and gizzards are also offered as main entrée choices.
