Veterinary Dictionary: chondrosteoma

A cartilage capped by knobby projection of the sternal surface of endochondral bone. They may recur singly or multicentrically (multiple cartilaginous exostoses). Inherited as an autosomal dominant trait in horses, dogs and humans.
