Chorioptes

A genus of mange mites of the family Psoroptidae.

• C. bovis — found on the pasterns of horses and cattle, on the scrotum of sheep and on the perineal region of cattle. Causes chorioptic mange.
• C. texanus — occurs on goats and reindeer.
