Chris Doherty (born in Braintree, Massachusetts) is a musician, singer-songwriter best known as the founder of hardcore punk band Gang Green. Doherty graduated from Braintree High School in 1983.
Chris was also a member of Jerry's Kids and Stranglehold in the 1980s as well as Iron Sausage and Gut'ny?.
In the 1990s, with Gang Green on hiatus, Doherty formed Klover, a punk band which released one album, "Feel Lucky Punk?", on Mercury Records in 1995. After Klover broke up, he formed another band, Hamerd, and eventually reconvened Gang Green in 1997. 2009-Chris Doherty resides in Cincinnati,OH where he plays occasional shows with a new Cincinnati based Gang Green lineup.
