Chris Ferraro

Chris Ferraro (Born on January 24, 1973 in Port Jefferson, New York) is a former NHL hockey player and current DEL player who, along with his twin brother, Peter Ferraro, became the first set of identical twins to play on the same NHL team: the New York Rangers in the 1995-1996 NHL hockey season.

Chris Ferraro was the later of the Ferraro twins to be drafted into the NHL. He was drafted in the fourth round (#85 overall) in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Rangers. During his NHL career, he would play for the New York Rangers, the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Edmonton Oilers, the New York Islanders and the Washington Capitals. Even though he and Peter are grizzled veterans of the pro hockey circuit, neither Ferraro has managed to play over 100 NHL games. Chris has a career NHL total of 74 games played, 7 goals, 9 assists, and 16 points.

Both Chris and Peter Ferraro played for the DEG Metro Stars of the DEL in the 2005-06 season. Chris played for the San Antonio Rampage in the 2006-07 season. He helps run a camp at Syosset Iceworks with brothers Peter Ferraro and Joe Ferraro. Information is at www.elite-hockey.net
