Biography

Chris Fogel is a recording engineer based out of Los Angeles. He also mixes film scores. In the pursuit of those two endeavors, he has worked on a lot of big-name projects and even earned a Grammy nomination. He started out as a DJ in the local clubs, and eventually turned his attention to sound engineering, assisting others for a time. His first big break came in 1995 when he worked on Jagged Little Pill for Alanis Morissette. His headlining involvement on that one came about by attrition, but it certainly paid off for Fogel. Since then, he has worked with a cornucopia of big-name artists, including Aerosmith, Sheryl Crow, U2, and Quincy Jones, among others. He also began working on film soundtracks, quickly building up quite a resume in that department. Among his cinematic credits are Charlie's Angels, Miss Congeniality, and Cruel Intentions. ~ Gary Hill, All Music Guide
