Christopher Owen (born September 25, 1980) is an American actor. He is best known for his role in the American Pie movies as the inimitable Chuck Sherman (self-styled as "The Sherminator"). He reprised this role in American Pie 2 and American Pie: Band Camp.
Biography
Owen was born in Michigan and moved to California with his family as a young child. He has had roles in many popular films such as Major Payne, Angus, Can't Hardly Wait, Black Sheep, She's All That and Ready to Rumble.
He has also been a cast member in National Lampoon's early 2000s college-themed comedies, with roles of varying significance in Van Wilder, Dorm Daze 1 & 2, and Gold Diggers. In addition to the series of National Lampoon's college comedies, Owen also starred in the college film Going Greek as the antagonist Davis. This is in direct contrast to the roles he played in the American Pie movies as he was the one always being picked on. Similarly, Owen played a bully named Derek in She's All That as well as a bully named Scott Fargus in My Summer Story, sequel of A Christmas Story. By contrast, in most movies, Owen tends to be the target of bullying. He was picked on in the American Pie movies and was the target of bullying in Major Payne, October Sky, and quite obviously in Angus.
He plays a meathead in The Life of Lucky Cucumber along with long time friend Charlie Talbert who played Angus, and has recently played a character named Norm in The Mist. He also played the son of the Frogman (and turned out to be the true Frogman himself) in an episode of Picket Fences.
Owen also stars as Jordan in Something Corporate's music video "If You C Jordan".
