Review
Christmas Angels is a collection of Christmas songs performed by the artists on the Sugo label. Although the album may appear to be a typical "session musician" Christmas album, the results are surprisingly good. There is nothing here that is terribly original, yet the album still retains a variety and good nature that transcends the average arrangements. Utilizing a string quartet, pan pipes, guitar, piano, and a harp, the musicians change the instruments from song to song, preventing the sameness that plagues other holiday albums. Anyone looking for a decent instrumental Christmas album that enjoys the variety of instruments listed above should do themselves a favor and give this a listen. ~ Bradley Torreano, All Music GuideTracks
