Christophe Gans (born March 11, 1960 in Antibes, France) is a French film director, writer, and producer who specializes in horror and fantasy movies.

Biography
As a teenager, he spent much time creating kung-fu themed Super 8 movies with his friends. He later went on to attend the French film school Idhec, where he created his first short film Silver Slime. He later spent time as a film critic before co-directing his first film Necronomicon.
His $29 million-budgeted film Brotherhood of the Wolf was a worldwide success, grossing over $70 Million+ [1] in theaters worldwide; it also became the second-highest-grossing French-language film in the United States in the last two decades.[2]
He went on to create his "labor of love", the video game adaptation Silent Hill.
Future Projects
Gans is currently attached to write and direct an adaptation of the Capcom video game Onimusha.[3]. He is also in negotiations (with Samuel Hadida as producer) to adapt another Konami video game to film. [4] In addition to the two, he has been contracted to direct a sequel to Silent Hill. [5]
