Christopher Ward began his musical career while attending college in Ontario, Canada. He sang and played guitar, later signing with Warner Music for a solo career during the late '70s. Releasing several singles and one album, Spark of Desire (1978), he then began working for Canada's version of MTV, MuchMusic, in the early '80s. Ward issued a self-titled solo album in 1987 and wrote several songs for Alannah Myles's debut album, including the number one "Black Velvet." ~ John Bush, All Music Guide
