Chrysler Financial is a financial services provider formerly part of Chrysler LLC. As part of a major restructuring effort due to the Financial crisis of 2007–2009, Chrysler, Fiat, the UAW, and the United States and Canadian governments have agreed to finance Chrysler Group vehicles through GMAC.[4]
Both automotive-based finance companies offer wholesale finance plans of many kinds: dealer finance plans, dealer services, retail consumer finance plans, lease programs and auto insurance programs.
Chrysler Financial supported financial products and services to both dealers and consumers of Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge vehicles in United States, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. It was based in Farmington Hills, Michigan with a final total of ~3,600 employees, and a global contract of $75 billion as of 2007.
