Ciöcc

Ciöcc is an Italian manufacturer of frames for racing bicycles, made from carbon fiber or stainless steel.

Frame maestro/founder of Ciöcc was Giovanni Pelizzoli. Ciöcc was his nickname (local dialect for "poker faced" thus the Ciöcc badge of four aces in a cross ...

Ciocc frames first came to the notice of North American riders in the mid-1970s. The beautifully shaped and filed lugs of these mid-70s frames, and their quick, refined ride made them much sought-after, but they were hard to get until about 1980, when Ten-Speed Drive imports began bringing the frames into the US in large numbers. They rode well, but the magic of the hand-filed lugs was gone, in favor of cast-lugs that were more generic-looking. Still, Ciocc's castings were very pretty, and top-line full bikes like the Ciocc San Cristobal, or the Designer, with lots of chrome, very nice finish-work, lively graphics, and fully-pantographed parts were--and still are--quite attractive, as well as being excellent riders in the manner of 1980s italian steel race bikes.
