Criminal Investigation Division. A unit of the Military Police charged with criminal investigations, polygraph examinations and other detective work. They are both commissioned and non-commissioned officers but wear civilian clothing and their rank is indicated as Special Agent. They work closely with Naval Criminal Investigation Service (formerly NIS).

  • CID, Charge Injection Device (CIDTEC) Technologies is a silicon based solid state imaging sensor with electronic pixels to capture images, converting light into an electronic charge which is directly displayed on a monitor or captured digitally on computer. The CID is capable of randomly accessing individual pixels and can be read non-destructively to improve signal quality and adaptively set exposure. CID imagers are inherently anti-blooming, have resistance to radiation, and are responsive from 190nm to 1100nm.
