Claremont is a train station in Claremont, New Hampshire served by Amtrak, the national railroad passenger system. The station was originally opened in 1920 by the Boston and Maine Railroad as Claremont Junction. It not only has parking for bicycles, but actually doubles as a bicycle sales and repair shop. On average, five passengers boarded or detrained Amtrak services daily at Claremont in FY08, making it the least-frequented of the four Amtrak stations in New Hampshire. The other three passenger rail stations are located in southeastern New Hampshire, on the popular Downeaster route from Boston, Massachusetts to Portland, Maine.
