Religion
Clifford has three churches, an Anglican church, Clifford Methodist Church, and St. Edward's Catholic Church, which has an extremely interesting history. All three hold regular Sunday services and have a range of social activities. St Edwards is the the largest, and most imposing building in the village. The tower stands many feet taller then any other building in the village. It is quite unusual in an English village to have a Catholic Church, larger than all the others. In most cases the Anglican Parish church is the largest as is the case in surrounding villages such as Bramham, Boston Spa and Thorner.
Public Houses
Clifford has three public houses (The Bay Horse, The Albion and The Old Star) and a fish and chip shop (Clifford Fisheries). There are no other shops/businesses currently (2009) as the post office has now been converted into houses. The Bay Horse and The Old Star are situated in the heart of the village, while The Albion is situated on the North face of the village towards Boston Spa. The Old Star is a Samuel Smiths tied house and has both darts and pool teams who play in the Wetherby league.
Education
There are 3 schools in the Clifford though none bear the village's name. Bramham Primary School, St. John's School for the Deaf and Boston Spa School are in the Parish of Clifford. Boston Spa also has several Junior Schools. Wetherby High School is also very close, Residents of Clifford are known to attend both.
Magazine
Clifford is a close community with its own magazine The Outlook which is delivered free to every resident each month by the dedicated committee.
