Sports Science and Medicine:

coefficient of stability

The ratio of the moment of force (see torque) tending to maintain a body in equilibrium (Mm), and the moment of force tending to disrupt the body's equilibrium (Mo). That is, coefficient of stability = Mm/Mo.
