[KAWL-lee ahl-BAH-nee] A doc area located in Italy's latium region just south of Rome near Lake Albano. The area produces inexpensive white wines that vary in sweetness from dry to dolce (sweet), and they can be still or spumante. The primary grapes used are malvasia and trebbiano.
