Color Change

Poker Guide: Color Change

Exchanging chips of a smaller denomination in for chips of a higher denomination.

SoundPoker Says: Since most casino chips are valued, they are distinguished by differences in color. This is done for reasons of efficiency. For example most $1 chips in a casino are white, and most $5 chips are red. If you had $100 in white chips and wanted a color change into $5 chips, you would receive twenty red chips.
