This term describes the cards placed face up on a table that are
used by one or more players. These cards are also commonly referred to
as the community cards.
SoundPoker Says: In a game like Texas Hold'em the board consists of the flop, the turn, and the river. Players use these cards plus their own to build the best possible five card poker hand. In a game like 7 card stud the four cards placed face up in front of each player would be considered the "board."
