Biography

Before coming together to form Concerto for Constantine, the members of this Dublin rock trio were already veterans of the Irish indie scene -- Mark Greaney (vocals, guitar) was the frontman for JJ72; Gavin Fox (bass) was a former member of Turn, Idlewild, and Vega 4; while Paul "Binzer" Brennan (drums) was known for his work in the Frames and Bell X1. Though Greaney and Fox had often spoken of forming a band together, their chance only came in the summer of 2007, when they both found themselves without a band. After recruiting Brennan for percussion duties, the group played RTE's 2fm 2moro 2our in November 2007 and supported the Smashing Pumpkins during the group's Dublin and Belfast performances in February 2008. Concerto for Constantine would make appearances at Oxygen and T in the Park later that year. ~ Katherine Fulton, All Music Guide
