US Military Dictionary:

conduct unbecoming

In full, “Conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman”; acts punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice which, while not necessarily criminal in nature, nevertheless reflect adversely on the government, the military service, and the officer corps. For example, excessive use of profanity or engaging in a drunken brawl might be considered “conduct unbecoming.”
