Conium maculatum

A toxic plant in the Apiaceae family; this weed may affect animals which eat it while grazing or in hay. Principal signs are tremor, ataxia, respiratory failure and death. Diarrhea, vomition, frequent urination, congenital arthrogryposis and spinal curvature occur in piglets from sows fed on the plant. Called also poison hemlock.
