Biography

Epic indie rock band Consequences hail from Sweden and feature the lineup of Richard Ankers (drums), Mattias Areskog (bass), Jonas Heijkenskjöld (vocals/guitars), Åsa Jacobsson (keyboards), and Daniel Jansson (guitar). The band's genesis resulted from Areskog writing a large number of songs, and subsequently being urged to form a band with friends. The members had previously toured and recorded with Swedish artists such as Marit Bergman, Frida Hyvönen, Melody Club, Anna Ternheim, Peter Bjorn and John, and Mattias Hellberg. Consequences' debut self-titled album came out in November 2006 via Bow/Groover and was produced by Ronald Bood (Mando Diao, Shout Out Louds). ~ Kenyon Hopkin, All Music Guide
