Anyone who thinks art and commerce don't mix isn't familiar with Constantin Film. The film production and distribution company is responsible for critical successes such as "Das Boot" and Smilla's Sense of Snow along with commercial hits Resident Evil and Downfall. Constantin also acts as a regional distributor for international hits that have topped the German box office, including "Lost in Translation" and The Passion of the Christ. In addition, the company produces television shows and is launching its own home entertainment label to exploit video and DVD rights to in-house productions and licensed films.
