Review

Cooley High Class of 2000 an entertaining album that features songs by well-known artists such as Jay-Z, Mobb Deep, and Xzibit but the best songs are done by some of the lesser known artists like Mass Hysteria, All Natural, and Juice. Besides the songs, the listener is treated to some nice mixing and scratching, compliments of DJ Presyce. Some of the standout songs are "I Get a Rush," "Concrete," and "Ill Advised." "I Get a Rush" by Mass Hysteria has a fresh beat and MCs Mike Treese and G-Field do a good job on the mic. "Concrete," with its addictive beat, teams up Shabaam Sahdeeq and Xzibit. The best song may be "Ill Advised" by Chicago artists All Natural and Juice -- Capital D of All Natural doesn't disappoint, and flows over a nice beat while telling all the MCs that Chicago MC's don't play. Cooley High Class of 2000 has a good mix of songs from well-known and underground artists. ~ Dan Gizzi, Rovi
