Coquitlam Sports Centre is a multi-purpose all-season recreation complex in Coquitlam, British Columbia. The facility is used by a wide variety of groups including hockey, lacrosse, and ringette teams, curlers, and figure skaters.

The facility has 3 different playing surfaces. The main arena features a 185' x 85' playing surface with seating for 1500 spectators, 2200 with standing room.[1] An annex provides an additional NHL standard 200' x 85' playing surface and a six sheet curling rink. There is also features a sports lounge next to the curling rink.

The Sports Centre is the home of the Coquitlam Adanacs of the Western Lacrosse Association, and the former home of the Coquitlam Express of the British Columbia Hockey League.

Expansion and renovation

With the completion of the adjacent Chimo Aquatic and Fitness Centre, the Sports Centre is currently undergoing a $62 million expansion and renovation:[2][3]

  • Expansion of main arena to 1900 seats, with the ice surface extended by 20 feet
  • Replacement of the recreational arena
  • Replacement of the curling rink
  • Lobby improvements to integrate the facility with the Aquatic and Fitness Centre
  • New washrooms, concession areas, dressing rooms, and administration areas
