A feather-leaved palm (Jubaea chilensis) native to Chile, having a thick trunk from which is obtained a sugary sap used for making wine and a kind of honey, and widely cultivated as an ornamental in warm dry regions.

Preparation: Place ingredients into blender, blend until well mixed. Pour into a bottle and refrigerate until cold. Serve in small glasses and sprinkle top lightly with nutmeg.

Coquito is an eggnog-like alcoholic beverage that is traditionally served in Puerto Rico. Coquito is made with rum, eggs, coconut cream, evaporated milk, sweet condensed milk, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. The drink is commonly associated with the Christmas holidays, where it is traditionally served along other holiday food.

Variations of the drink often include vanilla and evaporated milk as ingredients in the preparation proceess, these ingredients are not required for the preparation of the recipe and are usually used to make the taste sweeter. Coquito is served in shot glasses or small cups and it is usually sprinked with grated nutmeg.

While traditionally made at home, the first pre-mixed Coquito, called Mi Abuela Coquito, launched in 2007 by Bambu Imports, importers of Bambu Rum and Bulldog Gin.
