Corella, Italy

Wikipedia: Corella, Italy

Corella is a village (frazione) of the Dicomano (Florence) area - the village is located (mostly) in a valley of the Apennines (about 50 km from Florence).

Andrea del Castagno (who was born in a village not far from Corella, near the Monte Falterona, not far from Florence) lived in Corella during the war between Florence and Milan and returned to his home after the end of that war. (then, in 1440, he moved to Florence)

Corella has a nice old church built in 1184 that you can see—with a picture—in this official link of the Dicomano home page : http://www.comune.dicomano.fi.it/en/culture/sites.html
