Cori Yarckin

Cori Ann Yarckin (born August 15), is an American actress and singer. She first became known for her role in the short lived Nickelodeon TV series Noah Knows Best, where she played Camille Ruiz.

Background

Cori was born in Seaford, Delaware and raised in Orlando, Florida. She graduated from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, Florida as part of the class of 2000.

Acting career

At seven she obtained her first role in a local stage production of Oliver!, followed by a role in the musical The King and I. She made her first television appearance the next year, dancing in the Disney Channel special, Sebastian's Caribbean Jamboree.^[1] Cori then spent two years with the Orlando Opera, with singing and dance performances in The Queen of Spades and Othello. In 1998, she was a dancer in the Univisión variety show Sábado Gigante. Cori has studied with performers such as Gwen Verdon, Gregory Hines, and Ann Reinking. She took part in the nationally televised UPN reality/talent show The Road to Stardom with Missy Elliott in 2005. Cori was recently a 'Soccerette' on Sky Sports' Soccer AM.

Music career

Cori has been one of the biggest live draws in Orlando, FL.^[1] She writes her own songs with co-writer/guitarist Travis Wetherington and is touring the United States with her band. In 2005 she released her CD, Ringing In My Head. Her current band include Daniel Millan on drums, Justin O'Neill on guitar, Matt Reed on bass, and Travis Wetherington on guitar. Her music is described as Retro 80's, dirty rock & roll, comparative to AC/DC and Joan Jett. Her tour manager is Tim Brown. In 2006, Cori signed a deal with Cherry Lane Music Publishing. She is managed, theatrically, by David M. Rudy of Armada Partners. She has co-written with many named producers/songwriters including: Poet Name Life, Mick Mars, DJ Ammo, Tim Fagan, The Heavyweights, Xandy Berry, Trey Bruce, Mitch Allan, Brian Sperber, Brandon Barnes, Jimmy Robertson Landry, Randy Cantor, Jodi Marr, Jerome Brailey, Malcolm Springer, Andrew Lane, Eddie Galan, Jan Smith, Travis Wetherington, Melissa Mattey and Tony High. Past band members include Scott Smith of megaphone who played drums from early 2005 until late 2006. In February 2009 Cori Yarckin moved her band from Orlando, FL to Los Angeles, CA.^[2]

Cori has been seen in showcases at NACA conferences (National Association of Campus Activities) across the nation. She is also featured on the Castle Point Records album titled "Delusions of Grandeur" and several of her songs have been recently featured on MTV's hit show "The Hills." She also wrote and performed the ending song, "Together We'll Make A Promise," for the movie Pokémon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea. She also had had songs on "Degrassi: The Next Generation," The Ashley Tisdale movie, "Picture This", and the Lifetime original Movie, "Queen-Sized." Cori and two of her band mates performed on one of the last episodes of MTV's "TRL."
