Biography

After birth in Columbus, Ohio; Cory's family relocated to Phoenix, Arizona; where he was raised until his departure for college in 1995. Throughout his high school years his discovery and interest in music began to blossom. He formed his first band at the age of 17, called Liquid. This four piece band performed often in the valley and disbanded in 1996 as the other members didn't share the same desire musically. Throughout college Cory joined a few groups to sharpen his talents and work on his writing. In 1998 he decided it was time to learn an instrument to take his songwriting to the next level. It has been said that he is self taught and learned by staying in his basement for hours listening to Nirvana and The Beatles discovering the chords used. In college he placed a few awards in various showcases at Evangel University. He has had songs featured on various college radio stations and a national Christian station.
