Cory Hall

Cory Hall (built in 1950) is the electrical engineering building at University of California, Berkeley, situated at the northeastern corner of the central campus, facing Hearst Avenue. Named for Clarence Linus Cory, Dean of College of Mechanics from 1901 to 1930, it was the site of two attacks by the Unabomber, Ted Kaczynski, in 1982 and 1985. Cory Hall is unique in that it is the only building to be targeted twice by Kaczynski. The first attack injured Diogenes Angelakos, vice-chairman of the Electrical Engineering and Computer Science department. The second bomb was placed in a computer lab and injured UCB alumnus and Air Force Captain John Hauser.
