Coty Canada helps boost northerly sales of Coty's colorful cosmetics coterie. Coty Canada, a subsidiary of New York-based Coty Inc., makes personal care products and cosmetics. Named for founder François Coty, the company distributes its items throughout drugstores and specialty cosmetic stores across Canada. Its expertise is in fragrances. One of Coty Canada's most successful fragrance launches was Harajuku Lovers from Gwen Stefani in 2008. The firm's split between its Coty Prestige (with brands such as Marc Jacobs, Chloé, and Calvin Klein) and Coty Beauty (brands Tim McGraw and Faith Hill) divisions. Research and development take place in both New Jersey and Monaco.
